Hot Molding Mica Plate
We specialize in the manufacture of simple and complex Mica parts, and have a design and engineering team capable of supporting product development, design change and fulfillment. Our production capabilities are further elevated by Proprietary and internally developed equipment that push fabrication options beyond the scope of other fabricated mica parts manufacturers. Building our Hot molded Mica Splitting plate in-house at our Virginia Facility gives us a significant advantage in controlling the quality of the product, being able to review process with our clients and then allows very low lead times.
Hot moldable mica splittings plate produced per NEMA 1 standards. Mica plate can be molded with the application of heat for applications including V-rings for DC motors applications, angle channels and coil forms, commutators and many other uses. Asheville Mica Company has sheet sizes of 36" x 36" or 18" x 36" or in strips. Thickness tolerances of +/- .002" average and +/- .003" individual. Dielectric strength of 650 Vpm for thickness range of .015" - .032" and 550 Vpm for thickness range of .033" - .060".
