We specialize in the manufacture of simple and complex Mica parts, and have a design and engineering team capable of supporting product development, change and fulfillment. Our production capabilities are further elevated by propriety and internally developed equipment that push fabrication options beyond the scope of other fabricated mica parts manufacturers.
Because we make all of our Flexible Mica Splitting Plates in-house on our own machinery we can customize to almost any specification and ensure the highest quality, all while minimizing leadtime.

Fully cured material commonly used to punched or fabricated into commutator segments for DC motors where it acts as insulation to separate copper segments in the commutator. It also can be used to fabricate washers and spacers. This material is produced to NEMA 3 standards. Sheet sizes are available up to 36" x 36" for Shellac and 29.5" x 41.3" for alkyd vinyl. Shellac segment plate has a compression rating of 10,000 PSI. AV segment plate has a compression rating of 20,000 PSI. Average thickness tolerance is +/- .001" and individual tolerance is +/-.002". Available thickness range from .010" to .060" for Shellac and .020" to .060" for AV.
