Built-Up Mica Washers
Asheville Mica Company's built-up mica washers and shims deliver advantages that include superior electrical and thermal properties. They are resistant to heat and corrosion. When used as spacers, voltage mica insulating washers serve as reliable insulators and are ideal in electrical, processing, and industrial applications.
For mica washers beyond the thicknesses of natural mica, washers are punched, built-up and edge bonded.
Used for terminal insulation for strip heaters, band heaters and cartridge heaters. Or other places where a thermal or electrical barrier is required.
Mica washers can withstand temperatures 1000°F and washers can be built up from .032” to .250” thick. As a leading fabricator of precision components from high-performance mica materials, we can deliver mica washers to suit your application.
